Why Milliways?
Milliways was founded in London in 2021 after founder Tom Raviv discovered that conventional chewing gum often consists of up to 1 g of plastic per piece - comparable to a plastic straw. His mission: to create a natural, plastic-free alternative that tastes just as good but is environmentally friendly.
100 % plant-based & biodegradable
Milliways uses only eight natural ingredients, including chicle - a plant-based juice from Central America that provides the typical chewing gum consistency. The result: a chewing gum that is biodegradable, vegan, sugar-free, gluten-free and aspartame-free.
The packaging is not only stylish with an outer space design, but is also fully recyclable and biodegradable. It was honoured with the Gold Award for sustainable packaging at the Grocer's New Product and Packaging Awards.
Sustainability meets innovation
Milliways is actively committed to a plastic-free future. With over 6,500 outlets in the UK, including Tesco, Sainsbury's, WHSmith and Whole Foods, the brand is expanding. A recently completed £3m funding round will support international expansion and further product innovation.
